MMK sees Russian rolled metal product consumption rising by 2% ‘18

MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) – Russian consumption of rolled metal products can increase by at least 2% in 2018, Director for Economy of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) Andrei Yeryomin said at a conference call on Thursday.

“We expect growth on all markets until the end of the year, including the internal and external markets. We see the Russian market rising at least at 2%,” Yeryomin said.

He said that the Russian car industry is demonstrating the most robust increase, the pipe industry consumption is not growing, while construction will probably increase its consumption by about 1% in 2018.
